News ~ 2012

Well, the first foal of the year has hit the ground and it is a filly!!  On Jan. 15th Zephyrus Welsh welcomed the first Mo daughter of the year.  Hopefully it is a sign of a filly year to come!!  We have a bit of a break before the next foal is due, but then we have 4 mares due within 30 days of each other!!  April is going to be a fun month!!  We are very excited about the foals that are due this year and we welcome you to contact us about being added to the waiting list for each foal.  Some of the crosses are tried and true crosses and others are first time matches for us, but all of them are sure to be that something special!! Hard to believe it is already November and there is only one more set of shows left for us.  It has been a great season for us with two new Lifetime Awards for BridleWood Ponies.  The get of Goldhills Most Wanted, LOM/LOM/AOE earned him his sire Legion of Merit and Clanfair Signature, LOM earned his individual Legion of Merit becoming the youngest Welsh to ever earn this honor.  

We had 3 amazing foals this year and could not be happier with all of them.  The colt by Most Wanted, out of Broadway Lights found a new home with Goldhills Welsh and we congratulate them on acquiring this special boy.  We greatly look forward to watching him grow up and start his own show career.  We reatained out first Signature filly and are beyond thrilled with the results of this cross!!  A waiting list has already been started for the 2012 version.  

Gavin has joined us on yet another exciting year of traveling all over the country and he has loved the adventure.  He is the best traveler!!  We have been home a few weeks and he is already asking to go to another show.

I do have to say I am just about ready to the winter break...though we have two ponies to start this winter so there will not be too much resting...

April

We just got back from the WPCAC Gold Show and what a show it was!!  We started the day with Miss Perfect,
LD earning Grand Champion 1/2 Welsh under judge 1 and BridleWood What A Girl Wants earning Grand Champion 1/2 Welsh under Judge 2 with All The Options coming in Res. Grand behind her.  This Magin Moment, LD also earned 1st in the 2 and under 1/2 Welsh class under judge 2.

Then with Geldings BridleWood Fool's Gold earned double 1st, Double Champion Sr. B Gelding, Double Champion B gelding, and Res. Supreme Gelding!!  Luella's Special Options came in double 2nd behind his brother and also earned Res. Champion Sr. B Geldings and Res. Champion B Geldings.

As we moved onto with the rest of the day things just kep getting better and better.  BridleWood The Deeva earned Double 1st Sec. B Fillies with her little sister taking 2nd and 3rd behind her.  Then Clanfair Signature took home 1st, Res. Grand Champion Sec. B, and Res. Supreme Champion!!

Just got home from the 4th show of the year and Signature brought home his 4th Supreme Championship for 2011!!  We are very happy with how he maturing to say the least.  Also ecstatic with his first foal...a stunning palomino filly with 4 whites and a blaze...a keeper for sure!!
