Training Information We do take in ponies for partial and full-time training at BridleWood Welsh as well as making a limited number of spots on our elite show team available to our clients. Our show team openings fill early and fast so contact us as soon as possible to reserve a spot. Megan Burtness is the senior trainer at BridleWood Welsh and specializes in getting your pony down the rail and into the winner's circle. Training is offered for English Pleasure, Western Pleasure, Trail, Hunters, and Driving for the Welsh Breed Show-ring. We offer youngstock handling as well. We offer training from starting to finishing, but we are not "colt breakers" and are not interested in taking dangerous animals. We do have another starter trainer that we recommend for these individuals and are more than happy to set that up for our clients. At BridleWood Welsh we produce ponies for the show-ring and pride ourselves on our great successes in doing so!! Your pony's show success is our success!! We have trained and shown 4 LOM Winners and have had countless other ponies in our barn that have earned legs for their Sires and Dams. Training rates include the feeding of hay (Alfalfa and Grass Hay) and does not include any grains, supplements, or extras. We are more than happy to provide any specific feeding program at the owner's expense. All winter rugs, stable blankets, turnout sheets, show sheets, hoods, and other clothing is to be provided by the owner. We are more than happy to order what your pony needs on your behalf if requested.
